Proving that a Good Photographer Can Take Great Photos with Any Camera

A while ago, a friend of mine made a statement that sparked a lively debate: "Anyone can take a good image with a good camera."

Christmas is a season of joy, giving, and creating memorable experiences. When I was asked to photograph The BEAT4AUTISM Magical Christmas Grotto before Christmas, I was both excited and honored. BEAT4AUTISM is a charity based in Torpoint aimed at supporting parents and carers of autistic individuals with the objective of creating an autism-friendly community within Torpoint. The opportunity to contribute to such a noble cause was truly fulfilling.

Its 2025 now and I have decided to try my hand at writing to doing blog posts of my photoshoots just to document my Landscape Photography and maybe enable myself to tell the story behind the photographs.

It was the morning of the New Year and I wanted to get out to take some photo’s. I was fresh from watching a YouTube video from Thomas Heaton, he was saying he’s usual stuff and telling people to get out and shoot. Feeling inspired I started to find a few locations to shoot and check the weather forecast on my phone. I haven’t been to Teignmouth for a while and the weather looked good for Friday. Although at this stage I should have checked the Tide Times as well, I didn’t and had I did I might have gone somewhere else.
